Experience Spring in the Majesty of the Swiss Alps
Embark on an unforgettable journey into the heart of the Swiss Alps with your knowledgeable local Swiss tour guide. Its your chance to ride between high snow walls and most probably be one of the first one to ride over certain passes after the Swiss winter.
As winter retreats, and the first hints of spring grace the landscape, you’ll have the opportunity to ride through the Alps in a state of gentle awakening. While “down” in cities like Bern, Zurich, and Geneva, flowers are already in full bloom, up in the mountains, the snow just started to melt a bit faster, and nature is stirring from its seasonal slumber.
Switzerland boasts a remarkable statistic – 48 out of the 82 highest peaks in Europe, soaring over four thousand meters or 13,124 feet above sea level, are nestled within its borders. While scaling these peaks may be beyond our reach, you will have the privilege of meeting them up close and even spending the night within their majestic embrace.
Tour description – A stress-less Swiss tour for rider and also for their non-riding partner
Spring is in the air, and you will be there to witness the Nature in the Alps come alive after the long winter slumber.
Our journey begins in Bern, situated at around five hundred meters, or approximately 1,772 feet or 540 meter above sea level. Here, Spring unfolds in all its glory; you will see, but mostly smell the fresh, juicy green grass carpet adorned with a riot of colorful flowers.
We will traverse open roads known to locals, far from the hustle and bustle of daily traffic. We’ll ride at our own pace, venturing deeper into the mountains and up into the Alps. Keep an eye out, or rather listen to whistles, as you might be fortunate enough to witness the first marmots stirring from their winter sleep. Riding between towering snow walls, each twist and turn in the road reveals a breathtaking panorama. While you won’t catch a glimpse of the Edelweiss, which flowers between June and August, the scenery will more than compensate for it.
Our carefully selected, upscale alpine hotels nestled in the heart of some of Switzerland’s most captivating regions, offer you a most satisfying stay. Twincruiser Tours takes care of every detail, from delectable meals featuring local cuisine to spacious rooms equipped with modern amenities and awe-inspiring views. It’s the perfect tour for couples, with many participants claiming they’ve slept in more comfortable beds and rooms than at home.
Each day brings new motorcycling adventures, extending beyond the thrill of the ride. For the adventurous, there’s the option to tackle the historic cobblestone Tremola Pass road up to the Gotthard Pass – a challenge best undertaken in dry weather conditions. By the way, this road was part of the 2021 Tour de Suisse.
While we ride, the non-riding partners have an array of alternatives, from spa treatments to outdoor heated pools, massages, beauty and health packages, saunas, sightseeing tours, village visits, and even mountain excursions with local guides. In the late afternoon, everyone reunites to share their day’s experiences.
Spring is fleeting in these alpine regions, so we’ll provide you with precise information before the tour begins, based on the official opening dates of the alpine passes in Switzerland, Austria, and South Tyrol, Italy.
Touring highlights
This tour is only in Switzerland and not combined with neighboring countries.
I believe strongly that there is more than just riding from point A to point B. A guided tour with a motorcycle must be scenic, inspiring, exciting, interesting, entertaining and take you out of your comfort zones. A tour must leave an impression and great memories. This “magic” does not happen by accident. It’s the result of many years of experiences, of waiting, watching and observing that make an outing something participants remember years later.
Our attractive points of interest along our customized itinerary have been searched intensively, also with deep local knowledge.
We inform our participants in detail about them and you are free to choose and to suggest, what you would like to see or visit!
To counteract mass-tourism and social media, we no longer publish our detailed points of interests, highlights and sights.
